This pedal produces the sound of a well-known full stack, which characterized the hard rock of the 1980s. With this you can achieve sounds from distorted to full board.
GAIN knob: Determines the distortion intensity.
VOLUME knob: Determines the output volume.
TREBLE control: Determines the amount of high frequencies. The more you turn the knob to the left, the rounder and muddier the sound becomes. Moving the knob to the right produces a brighter sound.
MIDDLE control: Determines the amount of midrange frequencies. Moving the knob to the right emphasizes the mids.
BASS control: Determines the amount of low frequencies. Turning the knob to the left makes the sound thinner, while turning the knob to the right results in a punchier sound.
BRIGHT switch: This circuit is located before the distortion stage. Each position produces a different character.
The VALVENERGY series drives the completely analog circuits with a 9V voltage whose output is pumped up to 15V. This provides an enormous level boost and sufficient headroom for a wide dynamic range. This circuit principle allows the extensive use of the different VALVENERGY possibilities.
Three different operating modes for more flexibility
The output mode can be changed according to the requirements.
STANDARD: The pedal outputs an instrument level signal. This allows the pedal to be connected to the input of a guitar amplifier.
PREAMP: The pedal outputs a line-level signal, allowing the pedal to be connected to the RETURN jack of a combo, for example, or to the input of a power amp connected to guitar cabinets.
CAB-SIM: The pedal outputs a line-level signal with a cabinet simulation. In this mode, it can be connected directly to a mixing console or to a DAW (or sound card) for guitar recording.
Using a standard 3.5mm stereo cable, the CH-SW (Channel Switch) jack can be connected to the jack of the same name on another pedal. After that, only one of the two pedals is active at a time when the footswitch is pressed - this is equivalent to switching between two channels on a guitar amp.
When using a 3.5mm Y-cable (stereo), even 3 pedals can be connected together.
OLED display with graphic sound display
The high-contrast OLED display of these pedals shows an oscilloscope, i.e. a graphical representation of the waveform changes resulting from the controller settings - in real time!
